ASM 490 Case Studies for Agricultural Systems Management Syllabus Course Description: Builds upon concepts developed in 195 and 300. Students utilize knowledge and solve "real life" management problems using cases from agricultural systems settings. Prerequisites: ABE 195, ABE 300, and MATH 263 (statistics) or consent of instructor. (3) Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: 1) define systems management problems; 2) organize projects to address/solve problems; 3) acquire resources required for problem solving; 4) deliver creative, feasible solutions to problems; and 5) prepare written and oral presentations. Meeting Time and Place: Monday, 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. in AC 108. A two-hour work session for your group will be scheduled each week for the purpose of problem identification and assembly. Instructors:

Attendance and Late Assignment Policies: Attendance will be taken in class and at all scheduled discussion sessions and used for determining your grade. You will be allowed 1 class absence without penalty. Assignments are due at the beginning of each class. There is a deduction of 10% per day for late assignments. Quality of Work Policy: All assignments should be word processed as appropriate. All problems should show complete work or steps to receive full credit in grading.
