I am an Arizona rancher operating ranches in Gila, Greenlee, and Santa Cruz counties. I spend about half of my time on a ranch at Elgin, in southwest Arizona: and the rest between the other ranches and the business in construction in Phoenix, AZ. I am very active in the Arizona Cattle Growers Association, U of A Advisory Board for the School of Natural Resources and Arizona Association of General Contractors. I believe that 4-H inspires young people to be better prepared to handle adulthood and the responsibilities that are associated with it. When I was a youth, I was involved in the horse, steer, and rabbit projects. I support 4-H because I want to help children move from childhood to adulthood. In the future, I hope that 4-H helps young people to understand values and makes them into better citizens.
