Dr. Thompson also maintains interest in demand issues relating to organic produce, food safety, and health concerns. Application of econometrics to non-traditional sources of quantitative and qualitative datascanner data, primary data from interviews and questionnairesis a common theme in his work. Dr. Thompson's current teaching responsibilities include an upper division production economics course and an M.S.-level operations research course in which mathematical programming is treated.
