An Example Fuzzy Expert System Step 5 -- Composition The task is to define one fuzzy set for the outcome considering all the rules and the values for a specific observation. One way to do this is take the maximum of the score for the membership function defined for each rule. For observation 3 this results in the following fuzzy set.
It is obvious from the above graph that observation 3 is associated more with high feed levels than with recommendations for low feed levels.
