On April 3 and 10 the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality submitted to EPA UAAS for changes to beneficial uses for surface waters in Arizona. To better inform EPA's decision making regarding the modification of beneficial uses on some water bodies listed in the Arizona water quality standard rules, EPA is seeking any additional information or knowledge. Comments must be directed to EPA by May 15. EPA requests for comments and the copies of ADEQ's UAAS are available from Catherine Kuhlman, Chief, Permits and Compliance Branch, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX, 75 Hawthorne Street, San Francisco, CA 94105.
