Abstracts are being accepted for poster presentations in FSRPIII. Three faculty judges will identify top three posters for a cash award of $500 (first prize), $300 (second prize) and $200 (third prize). The prizes will be announced and awarded during the conference banquet dinner (October 18th, 2008). Click the "abstracts" links on the left navigation bar above for details!
Financial assistance
NEW: **Deadline for finanacial assistance application submission has been extended to June 16, 2008 (Monday)**
With generous support from USDA and NSF, we are pleased to announce that several awards (each = $500) will be available to graduate students and post docotoral fellows. Women and participants from under represented groups will be given priority for these awards.
Amount awarded will be first used to fully reimburse the registration fees of the attendee. The remainder will be provided to the awardee to cover the cost of attending FSPR III (room and/or travel).
To be considered for the award,
(i) please register no later than June 16, 2008 (you will be asked to indicate whether you are seeking financial assistance in the registration form) and
(ii) submit your abstract no later than June 16, 2008.
(iii) submit a brief justification demonstrating the need for financial support
(iv) submit a letter from your advisor in support of your financial assistance application.
