Tu B'Shevat 2000 Celebration

The Jewish National Fund sponsored the inaugural celebration to mark Tu B'Shevat in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. The IALC provided a display and attended the event. Among the events was a tree-planting ceremony officiated by Scottsdale Mayor Sam Campana, and the photographic exhibit Israel: The Land - The People that chronicles the life and development of Israel from 1967 - 1974.

Organizers say the Jewish National Fund's inaugural Tu B'Shevat celebration held Sunday, 23 January 2000 at the Scottsdale Civic Center Amphitheater was a success. The estimated attendance of 2,000 enjoyed an afternoon of live music, food, fun and information.
