    The UN International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) was held 5-13 September 1994 in Cairo, Egypt. This site is from Canada's International Institute of Sustainable Development.

    This paper from the U. of Pennsylvania covers problems and objectives; analysis of the food security situation and related major constraints in Africa; a priority program aimed at improving food security in Africa; and conclusions and recommendations. One drawback: the paper isn't dated.
  • Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs
    The Center, part of Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health, works to enhance health and family planning programs around the world. Two of its major projects are Population Communication Services (PCS) and Population Information Program (PIP).

  • UNEP Collaborating Centre on Energy and Environment (UCCEE)
    The Centre supports UNEP in pursuing its aim of incorporating environmental aspects into energy planning and policy world-wide, with special emphasis on developing countries--including those which are arid and semiarid.
