Conidia: (on PCA) mature conidia typically 280-350 x 5-24 µm including filamentous beak (200-250 x 5 µm), long ellipsoid to obclavate, some smooth but most are punctulate or occasionally distinctly ornamented, medium to dark olivaceous brown, , 8-11 transverse septa,1 (rarely 2-3) longitudinal septa, solitary.
Conidiophore: (on PCA) 30-100 x 5 µm, medium olivaceous brown, and either simple or 1-2 geniculate and conidiogenous.
Disease: Alternaria leaf blight
Host:  Daucus carota L. subsp. sativus (Hoffm.) Arcang. [carrot]
