Species: Alternaria conjuncta Simmons
Original Reference: Simmons, E. G. 1993. Alternaria themes and variations (22-26). Mycotaxon 25:294-296.
Conidia: (on PCA) mature conidia typically, 30-45 x 10-12 µm, ellipsoid to long ovoid, rough, yellowish tan, up to 7 transepta, 1-2 longisepta, simple chains of 4-5 or branching chains of 20-30.
Conidiophore: (on PCA) up to 150 x 4 µm, geniculated, occasionally branched, secondary conidiophores up to 100+ um arise from apical cells and are geniculated .
Disease: Leaf Spot
Host: Pastinaca sativa L. [ parnip, wild parnip]
