Conidia: (on PCA) mature conidia typically 150-160 x 12-20 µm with slightly tapered blunt-tipped beak (80-90 x 4-6 µm), long obclavate, smooth sometimes slightly verruculose, dilute yellowish tan, 9-11 transverse septa, 1-2 longitudinal septa, single or chains of 2-3.
Conidiophore: (on PCA) both apical and lateral secondary conidiophores (5-50 µm) are produced.
Additional characters: With some isolates, mature conidia undergo excessive cellular swelling resulting in distorted asymmetrical conidia.
