THIS COVERAGE HAS BEEN PROJECTED TO THE FOLLOWING PARAMETERS - September 2001: Projection: UTM Zone: 12 Units: meters Datum: NAD83 (previously NAD27) Spheroid: GRS80 (previously Clarke 1866) THIS DOCUMENT WAS CREATED AT ART, UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA, September 28, 2001 NAME OF DATASET: TRANPTS_LT DATA TYPE: Point DESCRIPTION OF CONTENT: This is a point coverage of the transect locations for the long-term continuing measurements data. Each location is the starting point of a transect. FORMAT: Arc/Info DATA SIZE: Approximate Megabytes: .03 HISTORY: The transects in this coverage were originally digitized from data manuscripted on USGS 7.5 minute maps from pinholes in aerial photos that had been used to locate the transects in the field during the original studies. Those data were automated at the Advanced Resource Technology Group in 1996 and 1997. This coverage was created from a file of UTM X-Y coordinates recorded with a Global Positioning receiver in 2000 when the transects were remeasured. MAINTENANCE: NONE COLUMN ITEM NAME WIDTH OUTPUT TYPE N.DEC 1 AREA 4 12 F 3 5 PERIMETER 4 12 F 3 9 TRANPTS_LT 4 5 B - 13 TRANPTS_LT-ID 4 5 B - 17 PASTTRANID 8 12 F 0 25 XCOORD 8 20 F 5 33 YCOORD 8 20 F 5 USER ATTRIBUTES PASTTRANID -- a numeric code that individually identifies a pasture-transect across different studies. XCOORD -- UTM coordinate recorded with a Global Positioning receiver. YCOORD -- UTM coordinate recorded with a Global Positioning receiver. NOTE: Pairs of pasture-transect E-W combinations originally established in Study FSRM 1706-09 were assigned one PASTTRANID. These transect pairs were reassigned individual PASTTRANID's in 2001. The new PASTTRANID's are used in this coverage.
