EarthWeek 2013, April 9-12
SWES Students:
Please find attached a flyer for SWES Day (this year termed “SWESx”), which is scheduled for the Thursday of UA’s EarthWeek. All SWES graduate students are strongly encouraged to participate by submitting an abstract prior to the February 20 deadline by visiting: http://www.sees.arizona.edu/sees/ew2013/home and clicking on “Submit an Abstract” on the left side of the page. There are no graduate students in SWES whose research falls outside of the scope of SWESx, so don’t delay!
SWES undergraduate students who are involved in research projects are also encouraged to submit an abstract.
SWESx will include both oral and poster presentations (as well as food and beverages)!

EARTH WEEK 2013
Soil, Water & Environmental Science Student Showcase
This yearʼs theme: “The Human Element.” From the land we walk on, to the air we
breathe, to the water that sustains us, human civilization has shaped and been
shaped by our environment for thousands of years, a period of time that is hardly
measureable in Earthʼs history. How has the human element shaped the world
around us? How has the world around shaped the human element? How will
these forces come together to shape our future?
SWESX
Stop by the Student Union in the Tucson Room from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on April
11th to watch our best and brightest tell you about what they are working on!
