CALS Effective Date for Personnel Actions

FTE adjustments and salary adjustments (except those that accompany a move to a new or different position control number in PSOS) will NOT be approved with an effective date in the middle of a pay period. All such changes should be implemented on the first day of a pay period.

Additionally, promotions and salary adjustments will not be processed retroactively. When preparing paperwork to implement such adjustments, keep in mind that the effective date should be set far enough in advance to allow time to get department and college approvals prior to the proposed effective date.
