CALS Internet Access Costs at Off-Campus Locations

In many circumstances, CALS will provide funding for technology upgrades that provide or improve internet service to our off-campus locations. Potential upgrades should first be discussed with Robert MacArthur, director of the CALS Networking Lab, who will (1) evaluate potential projects relative to current trends in information technology, to compatibility with the campus network plan, and to costs; (2) suggest alternatives where appropriate; and (3) present final proposals to the Executive Council for funding consideration.
CALS does not provide funding for internet service for employees away from CALS office locations (for example, faculty on sabbatical leave, faculty who leave Tucson for the summer months, or technicians doing field work in remote locations). Individuals may contact Robert MacArthur (621-2489 or robmac@ag.arizona.edu) for assistance in exploring their options in these circumstances, but CALS will not provide funding.___________________________________________________________________________________________
