ABE Extension
Extension programs are part of the Arizona Cooperative Extension – "taking the University to the people." In the ABE department, Extension programming includes: Water Quality, Irrigation, Controlled Environment and Animal Waste. Irrigation programs center on water measurement, water management and irrigation scheduling. The Water Quality programs include drinking water & human health, watershed management, water conservation, and youth education. Animal Waste Management focuses on safe and effective methods of handling animal waste, while The Controlled Environment Agriculture outreach supports greenhouse production and other intensive agricultural businesses.
