Semi-annual Progress Reports
All
ABE graduate students are required to submit the progress report except
first semester graduate students. However, it is recommended that new
students also submit the report. Submission of the report is
required to receive a passing grade in ABE 696a (Seminar - Agricultural
and Biosystems Engineering) except for new graduate students. Each
progress report must include a research abstract, if you have completed
(2) semesters in the ABE Department. Failure to include an abstract
will result in a decrease in your assigned grade by two letters (e.g. S
to C).
Why? The primary purpose of the change is to keep your
thesis or dissertation committee members as well as your advisor(s)
informed of your academic progress in an efficient and systematic way.
This will enable them to serve you in their advisory capacities more
effectively throughout your study.
When?
You must complete the online progress report form every semester -
Fall (2nd Friday of October) and Spring (2nd Friday of March).
How? Complete the Online progress report form(s) (.doc format):

It should be noted that graduate students whose records exhibit
unsatisfactory academic progress toward the degree are subject to
conversion to `non-degree' status. If you have any questions, call or
email Dr. Yitayew (520-621-7232, myitayew@email.arizona.edu).
