Title: Dr. Philip Callahan is an Associate Professor. He started at the University of Arizona in 1980.
Background: Associate Professor, Educational Pyschology from 2006-2009 at the University Teaching Center, Program Coordinator for Educational Psychology at the University of Arizona South from 1997-2006, and Assistant Director from 1994-1997 at the Division of Academic Resources, Arizona Health Sciences Center.
Education: Ph.D. at the University of Arizona with a major in Ed Psychology and minor in Leadership, earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science, and certified as a Fire Fighter and Paramedic.

Current Work: Dr. Callahan teaches five veterans courses at the U of A and partners with the VA for the development of veterans resources. He has completed three texts, with Michael Marks of the Southern Arizona VA, to support the curriculum. Focus is on validating the effectiveness of the veterans curriculum regarding resiliency and retention as well as extending resiliency instruction to families of veterans and dissemination. He will continue developing with the veterans center for academic excellence and the dissemination of research and model for veteran academic success.
