Mr. Tiffany could have hardly imagined the cutting edge technology used by today’s agriculturalists. Emerging technologies such as gene splicing and global position systems are changing the way agriculturalists do business. Agriculture has evolved and so has Agricultural Education. Course work in communications, business, biology, environmental science and agricultural technology make AGTM an exciting major. Through a variety of classes, the program takes an inter-disciplinary approach to help students become well- rounded, effective and responsible agricultural professionals. The curriculum focuses on the latest scientific and technological breakthroughs in science, communication and agricultural technology. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are fine tuned in order for students to grapple with the social, political and economic issues facing managers of our land and water resources.
