Mission Statement

The mission of the Tucson Area Agricultural Centers is to provide facilities and services in support of the research, teaching, extension, and public service activities of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

As a state-funded service unit, our staff is committed to providing high quality service in the most cost-effective manner possible.

Scope of Services

The Tucson Area Agricultural Centers Staff consists of a director, and 31 other positions. Those 32 positions provide support for approximately 340,000 square feet of structural space, 80 miles of soft surface roads, 300 cultivated acres, 57,000 acres of non-cultivated land, and hundreds of miles of fence and utility lines. Our staff also provides emissions testing services for the College's 185 vehicles, mechanical support for equipment used throughout the College, design/construction services, trucking services, fabrication services for research projects, reservation/preparation services for classes and events, and referral services for visitors and callers.
