	February		August

		Gather and work mature cows Heifers begin calving - check every 2 hours Calving Management Class (University of Arizona) Tag and weigh calves at birth Move cows to new pasture Ranch maintenance Check on calves on off-location pasture		Test yearling heifers still on off-location pasture for pregnancy Haul remaining pregnant heifers to V-V Annual Ranch Explorers' Day Move cows to new pasture Ranch maintenance

	March		September

		Heifers calving - check every 2 hours Cows begin calving Tag and weigh calves at birth Move cows to new pasture Ranch maintenance Check on calves on off-location pasture		Remove herd (clean-up) bulls from mature cows at V-V Move cows to new pasture Ranch maintenance

	April		October

		Cows calving Tag and weigh calves at birth Brand, bleed (draw blood from), dehorn, castrate, and tattoo heifers' calves Weigh and score heifers for body condition Test bulls for breeding soundness Check on calves on off-location pasture Move cows to new pasture		Gather cows for vaccinations, weight and body condition score Wean calves, weigh and vaccinate Haul weaned calves to off-location pasture or to UA Feedlot Move cows to new pasture Number-brand replacement heifers Ranch maintenance

	May		November

		Cows calving Tag and weigh calves at birth Brand, bleed (draw blood from), dehorn, castrate, and tattoo cows' calves Weigh and score cows for body condition Collect yearling measures on previous year's calves (weight, condition score, reproductive tract score, pelvic measurements, scrotal circumference) Synchronize and artificially breed (AI) yearling heifers Turn out clean-up bulls with yearling heifers Move cows to new pasture Ranch maintenance		Boost calf vaccinations Move cows to new pasture DNA verify parentage of calves Evaluate range Check on calves on off-location pasture Ranch maintenance

	June		December

		Synchronize and AI cows Cows finish calving Tag and weigh calves at birth Brand, bleed (draw blood from), dehorn, castrate, and tattoo calves of later calving cows Remove clean-up bulls from yearling heifers Turn out clean-up bulls with mature cows		Make grazing schedule for upcoming year for Forest Service Move cows to new pature Check on calves on off-location pasture Ranch maintenance
