This history has been compiled from several sources and is much more extensive and complete than versions in 1973 and 1981. The notebook also contains newspaper articles, letters, field day programs and photographs all accumulated in 1952. The contents has been arranged chronologically as much as possible. Appreciation is acknowledged to everyone contributing to the history of the Yuma Agricultural Center, also known as the Yuma Branch of the Arizona Agricultural Experiment Station prior to 1984.

For those interested in the history of agriculture in Arizona, a publication by the College of Agriculture, The University of Arizona, Tucson 1985, is highly recommended. It is entitled, "The University of Arizona College of Agriculture: A Century of Discovery!".
