VRML Plugin
A VRML plugin IS necessary to view the 3D VRML models on this website, but which one you use is up to you.
There are three major plugins to date:
Cosmoplayer
Cortona
Blaxxun Contact
Which plugin is best?
The early days of VRML has seen an interesting evolution of the VRML plugin.
SGI originally built CosmoPlayer in 1997, but development stopped in 1998.
Cosmoplayer remained #1 in the VRML browser market until 2000. Now it appears Cortona and Blaxxun are finally passing Cosmoplayer. Which one is best is
definitely a hot topic, since Blaxxun is better at multi-user VRML while Cortona seems to be the quickest and most visually appealing.
