A Strong Brotherhood, Community Serving, Campus Socializing, Scholarship Supporting Social/Professional Fraternity

Here at Alpha Gamma Rho we are not just strictly a social fraternity; we offer the best of both worlds. We are a social fraternity and a professional fraternity as well. This enables us to have fun in college, but at the same time plan towards the future. We are the only social/professional fraternity in the United States. We have the same social events as other fraternities, such as date dashes, theme parties, and leadership conferences. This is largely made possible by having strong Alumni support.  Alpha Gamma Rho also has a no hazing and no pledging policy.  Once initiated, you are an active member.  Instead of wasting time humiliating new members through hazing, we build friendships and leadership skills through the Brotherhood Program.  We believe this provides our members with a positive experience and a sense of pride they could not get in other social fraternities.

Our Purpose

To make better men, and through them a broader and better agriculture by surrounding our members with influences tending to encourage individual endeavor, resourcefulness, and aggressive effort along lines making for the development of better mental, social, moral and physical qualities; to promote a wider acquaintance and a broader outlook on the part of agricultural men through fellowship in a national organization that stands for the best social, mental and moral development.

Something for Everyone

A day around Alpha Pi is full of diversity.  In the common areas downstairs a few guys are playing pool while others are feasting away at another delicious meal prepared by our wonderful cook Billye.  A group is busy upstairs putting together a Halo tournament while a band founded by members and alumni are jamming away putting final touches on their tunes before their next performance.  Yet another group is outside throwing a baseball around in the side yard.  It's easy to find your own little niche in Alpha Pi, or to make your own.  Our emphasis on academics and brotherhood provide an atmosphere which allows our members to thrive and succeed in their higher education.  Our continued involvement on campus, in the College of Agriculture, in the Greek system, and in the community allows us to continue to lead and influence others in a positive way.  Our members leave Alpha Pi with an immense sense of pride, accomplishment, and brotherhood as they leave the Alpha Gamma Rho family and begin their careers.
