Dr. Robert Kattnig has a long history in agriculture and specifically the cattle industry. Dr. Kattnig's professional experience includes working as an extension agent, a commodities broker, a representative for the American Gelbveih Association and the owner/operator of a meat packing operation. Dr. Kattnig served the University of Arizona as the Associate Specialist in Livestock Production from 1991 to 2010.
Research Interests
Range livestock production management. Areas of Interest include range animal nutrition with emphasis on nutrient deficiencies; animal-forage interface regarding diet quality and quantity; efficiency of conversation of ingested forage into a marketable product; and indentifying optimum forage-livestock resources combinations into a sustainable enterprise.
