Do you want to know how your membership will help us?

1. Donations deposited into the
UA Foundation "Campus Arboretum Unrestricted Fund"
will be used for current expenses. These projects may include:

    Educational activities and Outreach-
  • Website updates and maintenance.
  • Create new plant tours.
  • Install interpretive signs.
  • Maintain the public database.
  • Support UA Grounds- organize campus clean ups and provide tree care training.
  • Provide horticultural expertise for Campus Planning, Design and Construction -recommend trees for new designs and advocate for tree preservation during construction.

2. Donations deposited into the
UA Foundation "Friends of the Campus Arboretum Endowment"
will be used for Future Arboretum development projects.
Endowments are held funds that accumulate earnings to support
the Campus Arboretum in perpetuity. These projects may include:

    Expanding tree collections
  • Fund new plantings to replace older trees.
  • Establishing a UA Arboretum Nursery for Ornamental Tree Production.
  • Developing propagation strategies to multiply rare species.
  • Improving irrigation design to preserve tree health.

Gifts and Sponsorship Opportunities:

Make your mark on campus by making a gift which supports future campus development, research and education. A personalized inscription on a brass plaque accompanies each tribute gift. This plate publicly recognizes your generous patronage and commemorates a loved one. These tributes create tangible markers across the campus landscape that represent the significant and rich heritage of the University of Arizona’s more than 125 year history and those with special ties to the campus and community. Please contact the Director to discuss the opportunity of becoming part of the UA heritage while providing significant support for preservation of its beautiful landscape.

Giving levels for tribute gifts include:

$7500 + Creates a gate plaque, endowment, pocket park or garden area.
$1,000-5,000 Adopts a Heritage, special collections tree or palm on the mall.
$4000 Sponsors a cast-iron bench under your favorite tree.
$1,000-3,000 Sponsors a special collections tree.
$1,000 Plants a new tree honoring a loved one.
$500 Sponsors an existing tree.
$500 Purchases three botanical signs for an interpretive area.
$100 Sponsors a botanical sign for your favorite tree.
