Research
Interests:
My research interests are the result of my
experience as
a coordinator of an impact study team for CARE-Bangladesh on a
project
funded
by USAID and the Government of Bangladesh that
has allocated resources for the purpose of improving the rural
roads throughout Bangladesh for the ultimate goal of reducing poverty.
The purpose of the team is to assess the impact of rural roads
through establishing the relationship between road improvements
and household livelihood security of the rural poor who are dependent
on agriculture for their income. Increasingly, national governments,
NGOs, and other project stakeholders are becoming more and more
interested in the impact of the project on the region it serves
rather than just the output it produces.
