Research Interests:
My research interests are the result of my experience as a coordinator of an impact study team for CARE-Bangladesh on a project funded by USAID and the Government of Bangladesh that has allocated resources for the purpose of improving the rural roads throughout Bangladesh for the ultimate goal of reducing poverty. The purpose of the team is to assess the impact of rural roads through establishing the relationship between road improvements and household livelihood security of the rural poor who are dependent on agriculture for their income. Increasingly, national governments, NGOs, and other project stakeholders are becoming more and more interested in the impact of the project on the region it serves rather than just the output it produces.
