In 1992, 1997 and 2003, the National Aquaculture Extension Conferences brought specialists and agents together in meetings that fostered interregional exchanges and catalyzed cooperative efforts. The need for such exchanges remains, with the aquaculture industry facing challenges to growth and profitability.  These National Aquaculture Conferences served as a means for developing innovative ideas that will make a difference for the aquaculture industry in the United States.
