Fall Folk Festival

Visitors are invited
to come enjoy live music "both acoustic and eclectic" at Boyce Thompson
Arboretum on Saturday, Nov. 8. Visitors strolling through this unique collection
of arid land ecosystems on that Saturday will also be treated to six hours
of song and music from Arizona musicians playing intimate sets in the demonstration
garden, herb garden, rose garden and other beautiful locations throughout
the Arborertum.
10 a.m.
Just Jammin in the Picnic area (a combo of nine ladies who play bluegrass)
11 a.m. Rusty Hynges plays in the Demonstration Garden
12 p.m. Harpist Penny Cass Joplin performs in the Rose Garden
1 p.m. the trio Mountain Rain is featured at the Desert Legume Garden
2 p.m. Guitarists Bob Mengel (pictured at left) plays in the Eucalyptus Forest
3 p.m. Guitarist Kevin Sherry and Violin player Michelle Walters perform in
the Herb Garden
This day showcases a winderful
range of Arizona talent, instruments, and styles. Start the day off with Just
Jammin, new to our roster of performers this year. Come listen to this group
of nine ladies in the picnic area, then spend your day exploring the trails
and touring collections such as the Demonstration Garden, Herb Garden and
other collections to the accompaniment of music.
