We’re Hiring! Apply online - See Links Below
You've always wished you could work here at Boyce Thompson Arboretum? A recent promotion of one hard-working and dedicated staffer means we need a new fulltime senior clerk in our gift shop ($10.50- 12.50 per hour) plus a part-time clerk at $9-10.50. Both hires will collect admissions and give arriving visitors directions and friendly advice about what’s in season to see and photograph around our gardens. They’ll sell annual memberships, stock shelves, answer phones and monitor 2-way radio transmissions. Expect light cleaning – and clerks assist in the retail nursery when time allows, watering plants and working on basic plant re-potting and propagation. Complete details of the part-time job:

Requirements? Both hires should have a background that includes cash handling plus “experience using basic arithmetic in somewhat hectic situations.” Basic computer skills to operate our point-of-sale system, and a working knowledge of inventory procedures, too. The senior clerk positon requires an ability to work independently and responsibly – and eventually to supervise BTA volunteers, and other gift shop staff.
