Desert Roses

 The Desert Roses newsletter was first published in August 1996 for the women Agricultural Education teachers in Arizona.  Designed as a pro-active support letter, Desert Roses has grown to reach women across America.  This web site is a 'sprout' from the newsletter to expand the connections for women in Agricultural Education.   The site was created and is maintained by Billye Foster, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Agricultural Education.

Bone Builders

Bone Builders is an educational site focusing on the prevention of Osteoporosis.  It was developed primarily for women in Maricopa County, Arizona between the ages of 25-55.  However, it contains current and practical information for women everywhere.  This site is maintained by Sharon H. Day, Home Economics Extension Agent for Maricopa County.

Experiential Learning

Developed by graduate students under the guidance of Nancy Huber, Associate Professor, Dept. of Agricultural Education, this site is an excellent resource for information relevant to both the university community and the community at-large regarding experiential learning.

Institute for Children, Youth, and Families

Maintained by the School of Family and Consumer Resources, this site reflects the Institute for Children, Youth and Families as it serves Arizona.

Agricultural Literacy  

Monica Pastor has taken agricultural literacy to the classroom through this interactive site.  The site was designed to assist educators in the effective use of incorporating information about agriculture into the subjects they already teach.

Watershed Management in the Southwest

Maintained by Kelly Block under the direction of Deb Young, Associate Director of Extension Programs, this site introduces the subject of watershed management in the southwest and educates people about issues affecting regions in Arizona.

Cochise County 4-H

Developed by Miranda Moore and maintained by Cheri D. Melton, this site explains what 4-H is and keeps Cochise County up to date on 4-H functions.
