Special Professional Development Opportunities for Women

Bryn Mawr Summer Institute for Women in Higher Education

Summer Institute is a residential program held on the campus of Bryn Mawr College.  Sponsored jointly by Bryn Mawr College and Higher Education Resource Services, Mid-America. This 6 week program is conducted in June-July each year. The Summer Institute offers women faculty and administrators intensive training in educational administration. The curriculum prepares participants to work with issues currently facing higher education, with emphasis on the growing diversity of the student body and the work force. The University of Arizona sponsors one woman per year. CALS will sponsor an additional qualified candidate if space is available. Applications are due to the Provost’s Office in early spring (Feb-Mar) each year.
