GroLive! Greenhouse Grower Educational Training
Outreach Activities for the Tucson Community, State of Arizona, and the World

A pilot greenhouse grower training program (GroLive!) is under development by a collaborative effort of International Trade Development Center (ITDC) and CEAC to address the increasing need for training and technical support across the greenhouse industry.

The program will provide in-depth training over two multi-week sessions to the purchasers of greenhouse facilities by combining classroom education and extensive
hydroponic greenhouse training experiences on the University campus. CEAC’s commercial-style hydroponic greenhouses and crop production systems, combined with the experience to produce commercial quality crops in arid climates will complement the interdisciplinary educational approach. Partnership with ITDC adds proven leadership within international development and extensive management experience.

Le Craven (ITDC-CEAC), Jennifer Nelkin (CEAC), Paula Costa (ABE PhD) and Gene Giacomelli (ABE) are primary organizers.
