| CEAC Volunteers: Open to anyone interested in learning about, practicing and/or promoting the use of controlled environment agriculture and hydroponics for the production of food, flowers, houseplants, medicinals and other crops. Monthly Educational Programs: When: September through May of each year, 2nd Saturday of the month at 12 noon. Where: CEAC Conference Room (1951 East Roger Road, Tucson AZ). These meetings are open to volunteers and the general public. Programs include presentations by local experts in fields associated with CEA and hydroponics, hands-on workshops, tours of local greenhouses and gardens, and round-table discussions. CEAC Public Tours : Tours of the CEAC facilities are available every Thursday at 2 p.m. (except holidays) and during the monthly meetings of the CEAC Volunteers (second Saturday of the month, September through May) or BY APPOINTMENT. Call Dr. Rorabaugh or CEAC coordinator Glenn McCreedy (520.626.9566) to make an appointment. Volunteer activities (UA Volunteer form required – available from the coordinator): Assist with CEAC-related educational events including the annual January short course. “Learn-by-doing”: help set up and maintain various hydroponic systems in the CEAC demonstration greenhouse. Assist with CEAC research projects. Assist as “docents” to give tours of the CEAC facilities. Assist with CEAC library management.
