Farm to Fork (GMF3) -
Sponsor Letter

The University of Arizona Controlled Environment Agriculture Center and Distance Learning Ventures LLC invite you and your company to participate in our 2007 Growers Marketing Forum: Farm to Fork (GMF3) in Tucson, Arizona, January 17-19 at the DoubleTree Hotel Tucson at Reid Park.

Maybe you are a grower, manufacturer, or supplier who has a great product but can’t seem to sell beyond the farmer’s market.  To progress from selling locally to increasingly larger markets requires knowledge and the toolkit to make it happen.  That’s where we come in!  In two-plus days you’ll get the inside knowledge, tools and techniques from industry experts that enable suppliers to successfully sell to the grocery and food service trade. Attendees raved about the 2006 GMF3: “Hands down—best conference I have attended...Very practical... This was worth the money!...A great learning experience... Excellent match with the target audience...Be back next year!”

We’ll provide an overview of the industry and discuss: Targeting your customer; identifying and selling your strengths; preparing for a sales call; making the sales call; working collaboratively with fellow growers to penetrate the market, and building a plan that is financially successful.
On completion of this program, you will be prepared to:
• Define which customers to target
• Develop an effective sales presentation
• Assess what commitments to make.
• Assess what commitments not to make!
• Define your logistics capabilities
• Match your production capabilities to your market needs
• Estimate your profit
Who should attend?  Anyone who:
• Makes sales calls on customers
• Determines how the goods are going to get to the customer
• Builds "go-to-market" plans and strategies
• Matches sales needs to production capabilities

Register online now. Check out new corporate sponsorship opportunities. For those greenhouse growers and prospective greenhouse growers, consider the Greenhouse Crop Production and Engineering Design Short Course that immediately precedes the GMF3. Please join us!
