Opportunity Analysis for Controlled Environment
Agriculture In Collaboration with the International Trade Development Center (ITDC) and Thunderbird - The Garvin School of International Management Luis Morales, ITDC Intern and MBAIM (Thunderbird – The Garvin School of International Management); Ron Richman, ITDC; Robert Shatz, ITDC; Dr. Chieri Kubota and Dr. Gene Giacomelli Currently examining the viability of two business opportunities within greenhouse agriculture in partnership with the University of Arizona’s Controlled Environment Agriculture Center and ITDC. The business opportunities include grafted vegetable transplants and plant-made pharmaceuticals. Expected deliverables include the characterization of the business opportunity based on market size, profitability and growth potential, completion of a business plan and execution of a targeted action plan to raise start-up funds.
