Design and Construction of a Research Greenhouse Facility for Desert Region

Dr. Gene Giacomelli, and Dr. Merle Jensen


A gutter-connected natural ventilated greenhouse has been constructed at the CEA facilities.  The computer-controlled greenhouse will include both pad/fan and fog evaporative cooling systems for evaluation of climate control in the desert southwest arid environment, and for development of water use information.
