The
Hydroponic Gardeners of Tucson (HGT) is a local group of hobbyists,
would-be growers, teachers, students, researchers, and others interested
in practicing and promoting the use of hydroponics for the production
of food, flowers, houseplants ,
medicinals, and other crops.
They meet at noon,
the second Saturday of every month at the Campus
Agriculture Center Headhouse (northeast corner of Campbell Ave.
and Roger Rd. in central Tucson).
Meeting programs include presentations by local experts in fields
involved with hydroponics and CEA production, hands-on workshops,
tours of local hydroponic gardens, and roundtable discussions. HGT
also assists with CEA related educational events, including Science
Alive, that help to introduce k-12 students to the world of plants
and hydroponics, and get them excited about science.
A
due of $12 per year provides members with a monthly newsletter and
access to the club's library and other educational materials. HGT
welcomes anyone interested in the field of CEA or hydroponics. Each
new visitor gets 3 fre months of the HGT newsletter.
If you have any questions, please contact Chris Pagliarulo at the
