AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY OF THE YOUTH ORGANIZATION ADVISOR

Become familiar with the constitution and bylaws, ceremonies, program of activities, and parliamentary procedure.
Provide leadership training.
Assist members in developing a practical and worthwhile program of activities and plan for accomplishment.
Provide for regular, business-like meetings.
Keep appropriate officials and the public informed.
Check qualifications of members for advancement in award programs.
Become familiar with the appropriate foundations and other agencies supporting the organization.
In certain instances, assume the initiative for chartering an organization.
