Streambed in a Bowl
Youth investigate natural and human-made items that can be found near a Southwestern streambed. They use their senses to explore the objects, categorize them as living or non-living things, and look at them under a magnifying glass. They choose one item to explore more deeply, list metaphors for that item, and create a poem, keeping conservation in mind. Youth may share their poems with the class.
