Water Web of Life
Youth listen to the book, Alejandro’s Gift, by Richard E. Albert. They then take on the roles of different organisms in a riparian habitat. Youth create a string “web” as they interact with “organisms” in the ecosystem with whom they have a special relationship (food, shelter, reproduction). The interactive demonstration of interdependence among living things challenges students to consider their own conservation habits.
