Betty and Hamilton McRae contributed substantially for the construction of McClelland Park , future home of the Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences. As Friends of ICYF, they especially wished to help the Institute for Children, Youth and Families Observation Laboratory. Betty McRae received a B.S. in Home Economics in 1961 from the University of Arizona , while Hamilton McRae received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and subsequently a law degree from the UA. Both are devoted Wildcats and committed to the University of Arizona . They are also widely and deeply involved with various charitable activities in the Phoenix area, and have significantly influenced their community in many positive ways . Ham, a founding member of the Phoenix Science Center , received an award from BobCats in 2005. Betty has spent a great deal of her life devoting time to children, women and many charitable activities.
