Make Bulletin Boards that Motivate and Teach

Displaying interactive bulletin boards can excite and motivate visual learners.  It does not need to be a chore--here are a few tips to make this process more fun. 

• When possible utilize students to help create your boards--for extra credit, or just for fun!
• Project a graphic on the wall with an overhead projector, then trace the outline of the object on a large piece of paper taped to the wall--INSTANT ARTIST!
• Collect and keep several sets of letters (both upper & lower case) to use as templates--laminate for durability.
• Temporarily tack (thumb tacks) your background paper or material in place.  Once smooth, then staple for a more secure placing.
