I am always interested in mentoring students who are hard-working and are eager to learn how to do research!
Undergraduate Students interested in conducting independent research in my lab are encouraged to contact me by email or phone. Students may also check out the opportunities provided by the Undergraduate Biology Research Program (UBRP) (http://ubrp.arizona.edu/) and Minority Access to Research Careers Program (http://www.biochem.arizona.edu/marc).
Prospective Graduate Students are encouraged to contact me inquiring about openings and/or rotations in the lab. Please also provide a copy of your CV, GPA and GRE scores (if available). Also check the Entomology website (http://ag.arizona.edu/ento/gradpgm.htm) for information on application deadlines and requirements. The IGERT program (http://www.genomics.arizona.edu/) in genomics at the University of Arizona provides generous 2-year fellowships to incoming students, and great training in evolutionary genomics and bioinformatics.
