The University of California and the University of Arizona will hold a Cotton Workshop Oct. 17 in Blythe, Calif. in the City of Blythe’s multi-purpose room located at 235 N. Broadway.

Noon – Welcome remarks - Vonny Barlow, UCCE Riverside County;

12:10 - Spider mites and late-season aphids in cotton - Larry Godfrey, UCCE specialist and professor;

12:45 - Agronomic practices to make up for early season crop loss; maximizing the top crop - Jeff Silvertooth, UA Extension and economic development;

1:30 - Brown stink bug biology, ecology, and management in Georgia - Phillip Roberts, Extension entomologist, University of Georgia;

2:30 - Commercial-scale brown stink bug management trials in Arizona - Peter Ellsworth, UA integrated pest management specialist;  

3:00 – Adjourn
