Deadline Approaching for Master Watershed Steward Class Enrollment

The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension is pleased to announce that a Master Watershed Steward class will be offered in Prescott, Arizona. The Master Watershed Steward Program is an adult-oriented course that will educate and train participants in multiple aspects of watershed science. Participants will learn the basics of hydrology, geology, ecology, water quality, and water management focusing on the Verde watershed. No previous experience is required. Classes will be taught by University of Arizona faculty as well as other experts in their field from our area and around the state.

Classes begin Thursday, August 22, 2013, and will be held on Thursday afternoons from 2 PM to 4:30 PM through November 21, 2013 at the Yavapai County Cooperative Extension office located at 840 Rodeo Drive, Building C, in Prescott. There will be three Saturday field trips. The cost is $75.00 which includes the Arizona Watershed Stewardship Guide and all handouts, as well as field trip expenses. Limited scholarships are available. The deadline for registering is August 12, 2013.
