Water Cycle Station |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||
The five processes involved in the water cycle: condensation, precipitation, infiltration, runoff, and evapotranspiration will be described and illustrated with hands-on activities at this station. Factors affecting these processes will be taught in a manner that the student will be able to evaluate the impacts of his/her actions on the cycle. For example, what are the effects of ground cover and slope on infiltration and runoff? A basic understanding of the water cycle is critical to understanding any water quality or quantity issue. This station will provide an overview of the different components and how they interrelate. Please click on each lesson plan for further details including materials, activity procedures, assessments, and references. Activities will also be conducted outside The Water Wagon that would be designed to occupy students while waiting for their turn inside the laboratory. |
