Scholarly Interests and Activities

My program of research examines the relationships among stressors, relational quality, and emotional and physical health outcomes. In my most current research project, I am concerned with variables related to emotional and physical health during and after pregnancy and the ability of quality relationships (spousal, partner or friend) to provide a context in which the impacts of various stressors may be buffered. A multi-method approach is taken to assess social and emotional stressors, reactivity to stressors, emotional well being, and relationship quality.
