Coursework

Student Handbook | Apply/Become an Intern | Find an Agency | Coursework

Students enrolled in the Service Learning Internship will complete course assignments which encourage reflection and application. Course assignments vary, but may include goal setting, journal writing, a research paper, essays, visual representations, or a final project that help tie the field experience to the student's major curriculum. Once students are enrolled in the course, they will use the online course management system Desire2Learn . The syllabus, assignments, announcements, and all other course information are available on the Desire2Learn course.

Interns will also participate in all of the 2-hour internship seminars, to be held on designated Friday mornings four times throughout the semester. Recently, these meetings have been replaced by "virtual" discussion meetings on D2L. Please contact the Service Learning Coordinator if you have a concern about attending a Friday meeting.
