Pamela J. Tuberville Speaker Series

In 2000, to support faculty research and teaching, Ms. Turbeville established The Pamela J. Turbeville Endowment in the School of Family and Consumer Sciences. In 2004, she designated funds to name the Student Service Center in the new building. With the support, our students will enjoy excellent educational experiences while attending the University of Arizona . As part of her continued support, the division of Family Studies and Human Development offer the Pamela J. Tuberville Speaker Series, inviting distinguished guests to come and speak to both graduate and undergraduate students.

February 8th, 2007 - Dr. David A. Kenny - University of Connecticut , Department of Psychology. " The Dance Between Accuracy and Bias in Person Perception." The Institute for Children, Youth and Families Division of Family Studies and Human Development Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences And The Department of Communications College of Social and Behavioral Sciences present Dr. David Kenny, a Professor of Psychology at the University of Connecticut . An internationally recognized leader in the study of interpersonal perception, Dr. Kenny has been a pioneer in the analysis of social interaction data. Dr. Kenny is considered one of the most highly cited social psychologists in the country, and has most recently published the text: Dyadic Data Analysis with Kashy and Cook. Dr. Kenny presents his work on accuracy and bias in person perception.
